This site is all about helping you to become the absolute best possible trader you can be, and to do that there are some key tools and resources that can make your job a lot easier.

These tools can be essential in some cases and often be the difference in helping you to be able to enter a trade or being too slow and having to pass it up.

Other tools such as the MT4 change time frame indicator EA whilst not essential, when used in the correct way can open up a lot more trading opportunities on a lot of other time frames that were not there previously on time frames such as the 2 hour, 6 hour, 8 hour, 12 hour and 2 day charts etc.

Even having a solid broker that has far superior spreads, is reliable, does not trade against you and gives great support can make a HUGE difference to a traders journey.

Over the next few weeks and months I will be making and publishing some very cool trading tools and tips that will not only help you with your trading, but are also guaranteed to put money back into your pocket. Make sure at the end of this post you sign up to get the free updates so that in the coming weeks when we release these new tools you are first to be notified.

One of the cornerstones of good trading is money management. A basic description of money management is; money management is making sure that you manage your trading money so that you can take on losses and continue to trade another day and your trading edge has a chance to become profitable.

By ensuring that you manage your money, you are making sure that with each trade you are changing the position size how much you trade so that the risk stays the same. If you went on a big losing streak the actual dollar amount being risked would go down, but it would keep you in the game a lot longer because you are changing your position sizes each trade.

This is surprisingly very common with traders to trade the same amount of money every trade, but also a super quick way to blow an account because trading the same amount every trade is HIGH RISK. There are generally two styles or two basic techniques of money money management. The first is the fixed percentage and the other is the fixed money. I personally use the fixed money and I also recommend using the fixed money with smaller accounts because with the fixed percentage once a few losses are taken on board it starts making it harder mathematically to get back to break even.

To read more about this and why I use this method, read the money management lesson below.

Forex Money Management That Actually Works. It is super important that you work out whether you are going to use the fixed money or fixed percentage method.

Once you have decided this and what personally suits you best, you need to then think about either how much money you will risk or the percentage of your account you are happy to risk each trade. If using the fixed money method; the amount still needs to give your edge more than enough time to work out and become profitable.

So make sure the amount is a reasonable amount that gives your edge a chance to work out. These amounts are a personal and individual trader decision and can only be made by each individual trader.

The reason I say this is because whilst as much as everyone else can give advice and their opinions, it really does not matter when you are managing the trade what others think. It is YOU that has to deal with the trade and the pressure that comes with the uncertainty from the markets.

One thing I will say is that you can always increase the amount, so it is always better to start on the lower end where you feel comfortable and see how you go, rather than pushing your limits and not being able to sleep with stress. The Forex position size calculator is an important tool that will help you quickly and efficiently work out the required trade size that you need to put on taking into account your trades parameters.

The calculator will give you your results in both units and lots and depending on whether you entered in a dollar amount or a percentage it will also tell you how much money or percentage of your account you are going to be risking in the trade. This is your account currency that your account is trading in. Risk Ratio or Money: This is either how much money or what percent of your account you are risking.

Hi Johnathon, thank you for this good artikel. I love all your posts. For my money management I use a position size indicator in mt4, where I can simply adjust the entry and the stop loss like a trend line and it automatically shows me the lot size, I have to trade.
