Then again, smart girls gold diggers will be all up on you when you say you're an RN Either way it's what you like.. JFizzle23 View Profile View Forum Posts. If you can become a hired FF I would definitely recommend that. Just seems overall like a much more enjoyable job then a nurse. Shouldn't look down on being a RN just because you're male.

It's really not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. FF is my eyes though Ok thanks guys I think it might be nurse. But i was wondering do i need to like be a specific type of nurse? Or does everyone start off as RN and then move up to be aesthitic nurse, Specialist nurse, etc? Between salary and ease of getting a job alone, id choose RN.

Becoming a Firefighter is extremely competitive, literally thousands of people apply for only a handful of positions. There will always be RN jobs available no matter where you go. Also, male nurses in general are in higher demand than female nurses. KEEP REP TRADING OUT OF YOUR SIG LINE. Or does everyone start off as RN and then move up to be aesthitic nurse , Specialist nurse, etc?

Massive lung and heart problems if you be a firefighter Go with nurse man Or pharmacist. There are ppl that are reserve FF for ten years before getting hired on full time. I want to be a firefighter too but all this talk about how hard to get a job is very discouraging.

If you are a standout candidate, with very high marks on all the written oral and fitness tests, do you get to the front of the waiting list quicker? Fukk volunteering for years and years risking my life just to hopefully maybe ONE DAY get a job. Shyt, I would sign up right now if I could be on the job in a year.

My uncle works as a firefighter, paramedic and lifeflight attendant. If you started as a paramedic and then took all the tests to become a firefighter do you think you could get hired on a lot quicker? I think soley based on the demands of the job I will have to go with RN. But if I went firefighter I was thinking I wouldnt mind waiting years on the waiting list but then maybe I can be on the waiting list forever DamianBlane View Profile View Forum Posts.
